My name is Elise R. Hopkins. I have a BFA in creative writing with an emphasis in fiction, but I’ve written everything from poetry to screen plays to nonfiction essays. My main goal for my life is to be a novelist and my main goal for this blog is to shamelessly promote myself. Oh, and, um…to write fun and enlightening posts. I swear, if you keep following me for long enough I’ll come up with the meaning of life or something. I’m not bluffing. I think it has something to do with…printer paper and…hydrogen peroxide. I’m totally not just naming things I see on my desk. And no, I don’t know why there is hydrogen peroxide on my desk.

Hi. I just listened to “The Heroics of Interior Design” over at Drabblecast and enjoyed it. Nice work.

    Dear Ms. Hopkins,

I really enjoyed your story, ‘Minor Disasters’ in the August issue of Fantasy Scroll Magazine. I dug the ending as well as the media commentary. Especially the idea that if the U.S. news tells viewers to be calm, it’s probably better to be anything but. Good stuff.
